Despite the cold weather, shoppers were out in abundance at Bishop Hill’s Christmas Market this past weekend. Over 550 people attended the “Locomotives, Depots, Trestles, and Bishop Hill” exhibit in the Steeple Building. Kids, young and old, enjoyed watching the model railroad in action. On Saturday, children of all ages visited Santa at the Prairie Arts Center. Hungry shoppers stocked up on cookies, brownies, and other treats at the Cookie Walk. Visitors were also entertained by the antics of the roaming Tomten, Swedish elves, and the Julbock, Yule-goat.
