The BHHA is proud to announce that it has been given a Tourism Attraction Development grant of $30,000 from the Illinois Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity, Illinois Office of Tourism. Funding from this grant will be used for interior restoration work on the 1854 Dairy Building. A $15,000 payment from this program was recently received by the Heritage.
In addition, the BHHA has received $5,000 from the Invenergy’s Bishop Hill Energy Center. This donation will be used to complete exterior repairs to the Dairy Building. When this particular project is completed, Dairy Building visitors will have easier access to this historic structure.
The BHHA is very thankful for all the generous support given by these two organizations.
