BHHA administrator Todd DeDecker will be presenting a free program about the founding of the Bishop Hill Colony at the Kewanee Public Library in Kewanee, IL this Thursday at 2 p.m. He will also be at the Port Byron Library in Port Byron IL at 6:30 p.m. on Feb. 29. In 1846, Bishop Hill was created by Swedish immigrants searching for religious freedom and economic opportunity. Today, it is a National Historic Landmark and a State Historic Site that hosts festivals year around. Please come to the program and learn more about Bishop Hill past and present.
