This past Tuesday at  about 1 p.m., I came out of the back door (east door) of the Steeple Building and started to walk down the brick sidewalk.  I was several steps away from the southeast corner of the Steeple Building when a doe, running at full speed, came around the corner.  It screeched to a 4 legged stop several feet from me.  It stared at me, I stared at it, while the song “Grandma Got Run Over by a Reindeer” flashed thru my mind.  Then the doe took off at a sprint, continuing east on Main Street.  If I had taken three more steps toward the corner, I would have had a head-on collision with the deer.  The moral of this story is to watch out for crazy deer, even during the day,
