On Sunday, August 16 at 4 p.m., Åkervinda will be performing at the Dairy Building, located at 410 North Erickson Street in Bishop Hill. Iris, Lise, Hanna and Agnes, the four singers of Åkervinda, take pride in their original and modern interpretation of the traditional folksongs of Scandinavia. Through improvisation, the group gives new life to traditional folk songs and stories of women throughout the ages.
