Starting in August 2021 and continuing to end of October 2021, the Bishop Hill Heritage Association will once again be offering guided tours of historic Bishop Hill.  Led by expert guides, learn about the Bishop Hill Colony, which was started in 1846 by Swedish immigrants.  18 pre-Civil War buildings are still in use today in Bishop Hill as museums, businesses, and more.  The BHHA offers walking tour or a step-on tour of this National Historic Landmark village.

2021 is the 175th anniversary of Bishop Hill.  To celebrate this anniversary and due to the generosity of several foundations, there will no student or adult tour fees charged for school tours.  Reservations are required to receive this deal.

Below are a tour confirmation form and a tour description that provides more details.  You can also check out our website at www.bishophillheritage.org for more information about Bishop Hill.  If you have any questions or would like to book a tour, please call 309 927-3899 or email bhha@mymctc.net.

We hope you consider visiting Bishop Hill, Illinois this year and experiencing this Utopia on the Prairie!

Sincerely,
