Wes Wells Performing in Bishop Hill IL

As part of the 2023 Bishop Hill Civil War Days, Wes Wells of Port Byron IL will be performing a free concert at111:30 a.m. at the park gazebo.

Wes Wells is a storytelling songwriting singer guitarist who performs classic and original American Civil War story songs. He holds a Social Studies Education Degree with an emphasis in U.S. History from Illinois State University. The stage show entertainment by Wes Wells is an hour long performance that features Civil War Characters and Battles from the beginning of the American Civil War until its ending; as well as songs that tie the legacy of the Civil War to modern day America.

He is a former History Teacher with a strong American Civil War Background.  Wes carefully researches and crafts his History story songs to assure that they are accurate as well as educational. Performances by Wes Wells are family friendly, entertaining, sometimes amusing
