As part of our 2023 Civil War Days festivities, Wes Wells will perform a Civil War songs concert on Saturday May 6 at 11:30 a.m. at the village park gazebo. This one-hour concert is free and open to the public. Wes Wells is a storytelling singer and guitarist who performs a mixture of classic and original Civil War songs. He is a former history teacher with a Social Studies Education Degree from Illinois State University. Wes carefully researches and crafts his songs and stories to assure that they are accurate as well as educational. This performance will be family friendly, entertaining, and sometimes amusing.
