From Generation to Generation: Folk Arts of Illinois exhibit is now on display at the Steeple Building Museum.  This exhibit tells the stories of twelve Illinois artists.  Several of the artists, such as Robert Bowlin, Pat Gregory, and Walter Arnold, have performed at Bishop Hill,  The featured art forms represent a wide variety of folk art traditions such as duck decoy carving, Irish fiddle, Mexican murals, and African American Quilts.  There are also several artifacts on display from Bishop Hill’s folk art history, such as Olof Krans’ paintings from the BHHA Collection.  This exhibition was produced by Company of Folk with partial support by a grant from the Illinois Arts Council, a state agency, and the National Endowment for the Arts.
