The Bishop Hill Midsommar Music Festival will return to the village park on Saturday June 22, 2024. As always, the free concerts will be next to the park gazebo. This year, we are emphasizing local music groups. Below is the tentative concert schedule for this festival:
- 10 a.m. Black Hawk Pipes & Drums
- 11 a.m. Sarah and the Underground
- 1 p.m. Orion Community Band
- 2 p.m. Jazz on the Side
- 3 p.m. Norwegian Bachelor Farmers
Immediately following the musical performances at 4 p.m., everyone is invited to decorate the Maypole with flowers and to join the procession. It will begin in the park and end at the Colony School where visitors can join in the Maypole dancing and have refreshments provided by the Bishop Hill Vasa Lodge.
