The Bishop Hill Heritage Association is pleased to announce the gift of $2,500 from the Landmarks Illinois Preservation Heritage Fund for the 1851 Carpenter and Paint Shop Exterior Restoration Project. When completed, this project will help preserve the oldest brick structure remaining in Bishop Hill. Landmarks Illinois is a non-profit organization who seeks to protect and preserve historically significant structures in the state of Illinois. We would like to thank Landmarks Illinois for their assistance and look forward to working with them to preserve this Bishop Hill Colony building for future generations.
