On Saturday August 21, 2021, Lynne M. Jackson will present a free presentation on the 1857 Dred Scott Decision at 2 p.m. in the village park. Ms. Jackson is the great-great granddaughter of Dred Scott, and she will talk about the legacy of this Supreme Court case as well as share details of Scott’s personal and family history that have not been previously been known.
