The 167th anniversary of the founding Bishop Hill will be celebrated on Saturday, September 14, 2013.  The day’s activities include the traditional chicken dinner, band concert, and program.

From 11:30 a.m. until 1 p.m. the traditional Old Settlers’ Day Chicken Dinner will be served at the Colony School.  The $10/person cost includes beverage and dessert.  Children under 8 years are $5.

At 12:15 in the Park, the Bishop Hill High Society Band will present a  concert.  The annual program will follow at 1:30 p.m.  The speaker will be Vicki Massie.  Morris Nelson and Paul Collinson will each perform a musical selection.  The rain location for the High Society Band Concert and Program is the Bishop Hill Community United Methodist Church.

Weekend activities continue on Sunday, September 15 with the Colony School Reunion, 2-4 p.m. at the Colony School.
