Old Settlers’ Day: The 167th anniversary of the founding Bishop Hill will be celebrated on Saturday, September 14, 2013. The day’s activities include the traditional chicken dinner, band concert, and program. From 11:30 to 1 the traditional Old Settlers’ Day Chicken Dinner will be served at the Colony School. Adults, $10, Children under 8 years are $5. The Bishop Hill High Society Band will perform in the Park at 12:15. The annual program will be at 1:30 p.m. Vicki Massie will speak. Harvest Moon: Harvest is upon us. To celebrate, Sweet Annie’s will have a moonlit fest. They will be open from 5-9 p.m. on Friday the 13th and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday the 14th. Call 309 927-3072 for details.
