String instrument player and songwriter Norm Brown from Kewanee, IL will be performing behind the Bjorklund Hotel during Jordbruksdagarna.  He will play folk music and more from 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday September 24 and Sunday September 25.  This performance is free and open to the public.

Mr. Brown started playing in a folk trio in high school and continued in college.  He then played 6&12 string guitar, banjo and bass in a the bluegrass/country/folk group Pig City Saloon Band in early 70’s and has played in venues all over the United States and Canada in a duo.  In addition, Mr. Brown has travelled extensively with Nashville artist Suzy Bogguss from about 1975-86.  Since the mid 80’s, he has been solo, playing original songs & acoustic covers of folk, blues, country and classic rock tunes.
