September 28 and 29, 2013

Jordbruksdagarna, the Swedish autumn festival, will be held Saturday and Sunday, from 10 am to 5 pm at Bishop Hill State Historic Site. Jordbruksdagarna (Swedish for “earth work days”) will feature demonstrations, performances, food, music, dance and games. The event is free and open to the public.

The Bishop Hill Heritage Association will host a variety of traditional craft demonstrations in the park both days, including wool processing, wet felting, rope making, and coopering. We will also have a Swedish hotdog stand by the Colony Store both Saturday and Sunday. Proceeds from this stand will go towards funding BHHA activities.
