In 1990 and 1991, the BHHA organized a Program Series about various aspects of Bishop Hill history.   These presentations cover such topics as Bishop Hill Building Practices by Ron Nelson, Genealogy by Roy Ostrom, Herbs by Verla Hunter  and many more. These programs were videotaped and have been recently converted to DVD and video files.  Each week, the BHHA will post one of these videos on our YouTube Channel (yes the BHHA has a YouTube Channel), with a link to the video on our website.  The links for these videos will be located at the bottom of our History Page at https://bishophillheritage.org/about/history/ .  It is our hope that by sharing these videos, people will not only learn more about the Bishop Hill Colony but it would also serve as another means of preserving this unique history.  All of these videos are copyrighted by the Bishop Hill Heritage Association.

The first video has been posted today.  It is a one hour program by Ron Nelson on Bishop Hill Building Practices.  Besides on the previously mentioned BHHA website page, you can also view it by clicking on the following link;   https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P7db9Pu3Voo  .   We hope you enjoy it.

By the way, next year, 30 years since this program series and also in honor of the 175th anniversary of the founding of the Bishop Hill Colony,  the BHHA is bringing back the Program Series.  We will release more details throughout the year.

Sincerely,

Todd DeDecker, BHHA Administrator
