Each year, the BHHA creates a new exhibit in one of the 2nd floor rooms at the Steeple Building Museum. This year, the display is about the Jacobson Family. During the past three years, the Bishop Hill Heritage Association has received “new” Jacobson artifacts from several sources. The Jacobson family was one of the founding families of the Bishop Hill Colony. Artifacts being displayed include: furniture from the Jacobson House in Bishop Hill, a letter from Mary Sandburg, and more. So next time you are in Bishop Hill, please stop by and check it out.
The BHHA thanks the donors of these artifacts for their generosity. Also, a special thank you to BHHA archivist Cheryl Dowell for her research and writing.
