A small display of photographs are currently on display on the first floor of the Steeple Building in Bishop Hill IL. The dry glass negatives used to create the photographs for this display were most likely created by Bishop Hill’s Arnquist family members. These photographs depict Bishop Hill people and places from around the turn of the 20th century. The created photographs are unaltered in order to show the actual condition of the glass plate negatives. Eva Harlan donated the negatives to the Bishop Hill Heritage Association and Bob Nelson produced the display photographs.
The Steeple Building Museum is located at 103 North Bishop Hill Street. The display will come down at the beginning of November 2025.
