On Saturday April 9, 2016, over 50 people came to the Dairy Building to listen to Lee Murdock’s program Windjammer, Sternwheelers, and Tin-Stackers: Working Waterways of Illinois. Sponsored by the Illinois Humanities Road Scholars Speaker Bureau and the Bishop Hill Heritage Association, Lee used folk songs to tell the story of Illinois commerce on the rivers, canals, and Lake Michigan’s shoreline.
