As part of the 9th annual Bishop Hill Chautauqua on Saturday August 27, local 5th graders will be portraying historical characters before our regularly scheduled professional performances. Madelyn McCurdy will perform as Marie Currie,, discoverer of radium, at 1 p.m. Elizabeth Sellers will portray Clara Barton, founder of the American Red Cross, at 2 p.m. Aubrey Dowell-Keup will perform as Ruth Bader Ginsburg, U.S. Supreme Court Justice.
