For this summer, BHHA Board Members Cheryl Dowell and Kerstin Lane are creating a special, large exhibit about Hälsingland, birthplace for many of the Bishop Hill Colonists. This large display will take up most of the first floor of the Steeple Building Museum. As you walk down the main hallway, the faces of Colonists will appear, each with their own unique story. As you enter the south room, you will step back into 19th century Hälsingland: the crafts, linens, and customs. When you enter the north room, you will see modern day Hälsingland.  Installation will begin late next week, with the exhibition opening no later than Midsommar Weekend.  It will be on display till the end of September 2016.
