The Galva Arts Council will host a “Remembering John Sloan Coffeehouse” – an event honoring John Sloan, a longtime key GAC member who died a few months ago. John was also a BHHA Board member. The event will be a “gathering of family, friends and musicians to remember John, his love of music, his years of emceeing coffeehouses and how his spirit of giving lives on,” said Tom Campbell of the GAC. It will be held in Wiley Park on Friday, July 3, beginning at 6:30 p.m. Rain location is the Galva Arts Council Building downtown. Admission is free of charge. Bring lawn chairs and blankets. The Galva High School Class of 1968 will honor John with a memorial tree dedication in Wiley Park at 6 p.m., just before the coffeehouse.
