As part of the 2023 Bishop Hill Chautauqua, Fritz Klein will portray everyone’s favorite President, Abraham Lincoln at 2 p.m. at the park gazebo. Klein’s portrayal of Lincoln brings this American icon to life. He bears a striking physical resemblance to Lincoln. His programs are thoroughly researched, historically accurate, and blend Lincoln’s humor with his great humanity.
The 2023 Bishop Hill Chautauqua is a 2-day historical re-enactment brought to life through storytelling and music on August 26 and 27.. Spend the weekend in the village park with several characters from our past such as Bob Dylan, Abraham Lincoln, Jenny Lind, Carl Sandberg and many more. Saturday afternoon, enjoy Fika with some of the performers. Saturday evening, enjoy a dinner theater at P.L. Johnson. Event is free and open to the public.
