From Generation to Generation: Folk Arts of Illinois exhibit tells the stories of ten artists.  The featured art forms represent a wide variety of folk art traditions such as duck decoy carving, Irish fiddle, Mexican murals, and African American Quilts.  In addition, artifacts from Bishop Hill’s folk art past will also be on display, such as paintings from famous artist Olof Krans.  This free exhibit will open in the Steeple Building Museum on Saturday June 28.  This exhibition was produced by Company of Folk with partial support by a grant from the Illinois Arts Council, a state agency, and the National Endowment for the Arts.  It is also organized and hosted by the Bishop Hill Heritage Association.
