On Saturday, August 21 at 2 p.m. at the park in Bishop Hill, Lynne M. Jackson will present a program on the 1857 Dred Scott Decision. Ms. Jackson is the great-great granddaughter of Dred Scott, and she will talk about the legacy of this Supreme Court case as well as share details of Scott’s personal and family history that have not been previously been known.
