The shops, restaurants, and museums of Bishop Hill will be participating in a Bargain Harvest Weekend on October 14-15. A variety of discounts and sale offers can be found at participating businesses and restaurants during normal business hours. The participating museums will be offering crafts, video showings, or other special activities.

The Vasa National Archives will have a Make and Take Hobby Horse station available for $5 each.
Visitors who collect signatures from 6 shops or museums will be entered into a drawing for a gift basket at the Colony Store. The drawing will be Sunday at 3:30 and you don’t have to be present to win. Pumpkin pictures will be hidden around town for you to find for a special prize.

Don’t forget to check out the Pottery Festival on Saturday on the north side of the park, near PL Johnson’s. A variety of potters will be demonstrating and selling their wares from 10-5. For more information on the Pottery Festival, call Jeff at 309-883-1035.

The Bishop Hill Arts Council hopes you will come out and show support for the businesses that keep this treasured community alive. Contact Kathy at the Vasa National Archives , VasaArchivist@gmail.com or 309-927-3898, if you have any questions about the Bargain Harvest weekend.
