Friday May 8 is Civil War Days for Schools.  On this day, students learn about Civil War era topics in various stations.  This is a free program open to schools only. Bishop Hill Civil War Days for the Public is Saturday May 9.  Open to all ages, this one-time event to honor the Bishop Hill’s Company D will have a Civil War encampment in the village park and free programming throughout the day.  Meet Mr. and Mrs. Lincoln, General Blackjack Logan, and other Civil War figures.  A special Civil War exhibit will be on display at the Steeple Building.  Finish your visit by joining us for an evening Civil War Dance at the Colony School.  Sponsored by the BHHA.  Email bhha@mymctc.net or call 309 927-3899 for more details.
