A benefit for Crystal Dennis will be held Saturday, Oct. 3, from 5 to 10 p.m. at the Henry County Fairgrounds at the Merchant’s Building in Cambridge. Crystal is co-owner of the Filling Station in Bishop Hill and a very active member the community. In June, she suffered a debilitating stroke and has since been working with rehabilitation services to make a full recovery. She has made a lot of progress, but still has a long road ahead.
The public is invited to help offset her medical expenses by attending the benefit. There will be a pork burger dinner, Even Steven Band, a live auction at 7 p.m. a silent auction, and raffle items. The silent auction will end at 7 p.m., when the live auction begins.
