Through the holiday season, the Moline Public Library, located at 3210 4th Street in Moline, IL, will be hosting A Community on the Prairie: Bishop Hill, Illinois traveling exhibition. The exhibit features twelve full color free standing panels that will be on display on the second floor of the library through the end of 2016. The panels describe the history of the Bishop Hill Colony, from founding up to modern times.

This traveling exhibit is a condensed from an exhibit at the Bishop Hill State Historic Site, Illinois Historic Preservation Agency, and is organized by the Bishop Hill Heritage Association. A Community on the Prairie: Bishop Hill, Illinois was made possible through the generous support of the Barbro Osher Pro Suecia Foundation and the Swedish Council of America.
