The Bishop Hill Heritage Association is pleased to announce the donation of 200,000 krona (about $24,886 ) by the King Gustaf VI Adolf’s Foundation for Swedish Culture .  This foundation provides funding for Swedish humanitarian research and cultural heritage care. The grant will be used for the 1851 Carpenter Shop Exterior Restoration Project.

The BHHA is also pleased to announce the gift of $1,000 from the Bill and Susan Sherrard Foundation for educational programming. Wells Fargo Bank administers this local foundation. The grant will be used to help fund a variety of Bishop Hill events in 2018.

Finally, the Heritage received a generous contribution of $1,000 from SWEA Chicago.  SWEA, Swedish Women’s Educational Association Inc,, is a global non-profit association for Swedes and Swedish-speaking women who have or have been resident abroad. This donation will go towards the 2018 Midsommar Music Festival.
