Over the weekend Bishop Hill hosted a quilt show in the Old Colony School.

Out of the many quilts on display the viewers selected the following to be awarded ribbons.

Best of show was done by Marian Rodger of Geneseo, and quilted by Rick Cathelyn.

In the large category the winner was Clayton Peterson of Rock Island for his R U NUTS which was quilted by Adele Forest. Second place was PATIENCE AND PERSERVANCE by Bev Hoy, Davenport, IA, and quilted by Debbie Spencer of LaFayette, IL. And third place is Bonnie Bandelow of Silvis, IL, with her Color Challenge Sampler and was quilted by Quilt Blessings of Galesburg.

In the Small Category first place was by Joanne Boggs of Geneseo for Double Star. Second place went to Debbie Spencer of LaFayette, IL, with her SOMEWHERE ON THE FARM. And Sonja Sterling who has WINDMILLS ON HER MIND with her quilt.

Clayton Peterson of Rock Island won First Place with his Double Wedding Ring quilt. Second place went to Diane Lodge of Geneseo for her FLOWER GARDEN while Velma Jean Perkins of Moline won third place with her DOUBLE WEDDING RING.

In the category of Hand Quilting first place went to Clayton Peterson for his GRANDMA’S FLOWER GARDEN. Second place was awarded to Melody Wassell of Moline for her MORNING GLORY. Cathleen VanStechelman of Kewanee, IL, won third place for her REDWORK QUILT.

The THEME RAFFLE BASKET was won by Joyce Ruhl of Bishop Hill. Cindy Roach of Galesburg won the BISHOP HILL RAFFLE BASKET. The FAIRY GARDEN RAFFLE was won by Carolyn Thies of Kewanee.
