The Bishop Hill Heritage Association is pleased to announce the gift of $250.00 from the Galesburg Community Foundation for the 2018 Civil War Day on May 26, 2018. This educational event teaches young and old about life during the Civil War. Open to all ages, this Memorial Weekend event will have a Civil War encampment in the village park and free programming throughout the day. Meet General Blackjack Logan, witness a battle, observe a surgery, and much more.
The Galesburg Community Foundation (GCF) develops resources to equip and empower residents and nonprofit organizations to create a healthy community by building endowed and non-endowed funds, granting to nonprofit organizations, promoting collaboration, and addressing community priorities through the investment of resources.
