The Bishop Hill Midsommar Music Festival will return to the village park on Saturday June 21. As always, the free concerts will be next to the park gazebo. Again, we are emphasizing local music groups. Below is the concert schedule for this festival:
- 10 a.m. Black Hawk Pipes & Drums
- 11:30 a.m. Chloe Mae Finch
- 1:30 p.m. Orion Community Band
- 3 p.m. Norwegian Bachelor Farmers
Immediately following the musical performances at 4 p.m., everyone is invited to decorate the Maypole with flowers and to join the procession. It will begin in the park and end at the Colony School where visitors can join in the Maypole dancing and have refreshments provided by the Bishop Hill Vasa Lodge. Please join us as we celebrate one of the largest Swedish holidays of the year.
