December 25th is Julotta

The Bishop Hill State Historic Site is sponsoring a Christmas morning service (Julotta) at the Colony Church.   It will start at 6 a.m.  This nondenominational service is conducted in English and Swedish.  Coffee and rusks will be served following the service.  If you want to experience an old-fashioned church service, come to Julotta.  But bring a blanket because the sanctuary is not heated.
