BHHA Acting Troupe Performing “On the Road Again?” at the 2025 Jordbruksdagarna (Ag Days) in historic Bishop Hill, IL

As the title of the BHHA’S Acting Troupe’s skit suggests, this group of Jansonists, “fresh off the boat” is making their way to their chosen designation of the Bishop Hill Colony. Stepping foot onto American soil is a huge change for these folks from Sweden who will be joining the communal group already in action.

Will Brita be content without her Sven? Will Maria know enough English to help the group understand American ways? And, most importantly, will Anna find the long, sought after husband in America?

Come to the Steeple Building Museum on Jordbruksdagarna Saturday, 11 am, September 27 to find these answers. Free admission, too! The Steeple Building is located at 103 North Bishop Hill Street, right across from the park.  The skit lasts about 45 minutes.
